My facility has a pitched brick facade on 3 of the outside edges of the roof. I am looking for the best way to either prevent the ice that forms on those pitches from falling as it thaws, or to prevent the ice from forming in the first place. The owner doesn't like the idea of snow fence because he doesn't think that it will look very good, and he doesn't believe that it will work as well. He is also opposed to heat tapes for aesthetic reasons as well. Has anyone tried super hydrophobic coatings or have any other suggestions?
